Nestled in the heart of Byron Bay's Arts and Industrial Estate, Social Remedy isn't just a gym—it's a wellness revolution. Combining cutting-edge recovery treatments with top-tier fitness facilities, this place is redefining what it means to take care of both body and mind.

First Impressions: Industrial Chic Meets Wellness Haven

Walking into Social Remedy, you're immediately struck by its sleek, industrial design. The space exudes a modern, minimalist vibe, creating an environment that's both energising and calming. It feels like stepping into a thoughtfully curated sanctuary—every corner whispering wellness. I truly feel at home in these spaces—a grounding sanctuary of health and wellness.

The Workout: More Than Just a Gym

Social Remedy offers a 24-hour gym packed with everything from free weights to functional training zones. But what really stood out to me was the vibe—there’s no ego here. Just friendly, down-to-earth people doing their thing. The class schedule is broad and inclusive—strength training, yoga, Pilates, breathwork—all guided by passionate, welcoming instructors who meet you where you're at.

Most importantly, this place isn't about exclusivity or elite wellness culture. It's for everyone. The space is intentionally accessible and affordable, which is exactly what I’m all about. It’s wellness without the pretension—real, grounded, and available to all.

Recovery Redefined

Post-workout recovery is where Social Remedy truly shines. Their recovery space feels like a retreat in itself, featuring:

  • Infrared Sauna: Deep tissue healing and a serious mood boost

  • Cryotherapy: Quick, cold, and incredibly energizing

  • Ice Baths & Finnish Sauna: The classic contrast therapy—revitalizing and strangely addictive

  • Hyperbaric Chamber & IV Drip Therapy: High-tech healing for those who like to go next-level

It's not just about performance—it's about balance, restoration, and feeling your best every day.

Community & Culture

What makes this place truly special? The people. From the moment you walk in, you're met with genuine smiles and an easygoing, ego-free atmosphere. The staff go out of their way to make you feel seen and supported. Social Remedy is more than a fitness center—it's a community of kind, health-focused humans who value connection as much as movement.

B3 in Brunswick Heads: A Sister Space with a Soulful Twist

Just a short drive away, I had the pleasure of visiting B3 in Brunswick Heads—a sister venue to Social Remedy that's carving its own unique path in the wellness world. Housed in a beautifully repurposed space, B3 combines functional fitness with restorative practices in a way that's both innovative and deeply grounding.

One of the standout experiences for me was the sound bath healing session. Picture this: lying in a warm magnesium plunge pool, eyes closed, as live soundscapes wash over you. The combination of water therapy and immersive sound creates a meditative state that's hard to describe—it's something you truly have to experience.

B3's philosophy centres around three pillars:

  • Build: Functional strength and conditioning classes designed to challenge and empower.

  • Breath: Guided breathwork sessions that help you connect inward and find balance.

  • Bath: Recovery offerings including hot and cold magnesium plunge pools and a traditional Finnish sauna.

The community vibe at B3 mirrors that of Social Remedy—welcoming, unpretentious, and inclusive. It's a space where everyone, regardless of fitness level or background, can come to rejuvenate and reconnect.
